Dr
Eva Malacova

Dr Eva Malacova is a consulting Senior Biostatistician at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute (QIMR Berghofer) and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Faculty of Health, Research – Clinical Sciences at Queensland University of Technology. Eva has 19 years of experience in analyses of health and medical research data, the majority of which were large health datasets for epidemiological studies in Australia. Currently, Eva provides consultation to, and collaborates with, researchers and clinicians from QIMR Berghofer, Metro North Hospital and Health Service, and Mater Hospital, involving a broad range of research projects. Eva also contributes to statistical training of staff and students at QIMR Berghofer. Eva has previously worked as a Biostatistician and Research Fellow at the School of Public Health, Curtin University (2016-2018) and at the School of Paediatrics and Child Health, University of Western Australia (UWA) (2015-2016), providing consultations to higher degree research students and staff at King Edward Memorial Hospital, teaching biostatistics seminars, and also undertaking research in perinatal epidemiology. Between 2011-2016, Eva was a Biostatistician and Lecturer/Research Fellow at UWA, teaching biostatistics units both at introductory and advanced levels, providing consultations to higher degree research students and staff across the school, and conducting epidemiological research in maternal health. Prior to this, Eva held various university and public sector posts involving statistics and education (2002-2011).
